He was predeceased by: his former wife Anita Buell Reed; his parents, Lony Mace and Avis Myers Reed; his sisters, Flora Soileau and Madeleine Montelaro; his son Lony Michael Reed; and his stepgrandson Blake Finberg.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Kassell Reed; his children, Michaela Reed McManus (John), Kathi Reed Jenkins, Kimberly Reed Rayburn, Michelle Renee Reed, Cynthia Reed Manuel, Jennifer Reed Crawford (Mike) and David Lannie Reed (Michelle); and his stepdaughters, Traci Napier, Kristie Finberg and Cheryl Kepp (Richard).
