He was predeceased by: his parents, Neillis Burkhalter and Pearl Burkhalter; his son Kyle Burkhalter; and the parent of his child Pearl Burkhalter. He is survived by: his wife Dolly Burkhalter of Pflugerville, TX; his children, Bob Burkhalter (Cindy) of Katy, TX, Karren Roberts (Michael) of Austin, TX and Butch Burkhalter of Pflugerville, TX; his daughter-in-law Carol Burkhalter of Lubbock, TX; his sister Linda Horton (Welton) of Springtown, TX; and his sister-in-law Tommie Joyce Morrow of Leander, TX. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There is no formal funeral service planned but donations to the Alzheimer's Association can be made in lieu of flowers to the family.
