We bid farewell to Joyce Brown Stewart of Austin, Texas, born in Corpus Christi, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 19, 2025 at the age of 94. Joyce Brown touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Brown, Jr. and Mattie Verna Ross Brown; her siblings, William Brown and Nancy Pelton; and her sister-in-law Jean Stewart.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Stewart and Courtney Ortiz; her son-in-law Martin Ortiz; her grandchildren, Jake Ryan, Sydney Ryan and Kiley Ortiz; and her great grandchild Ainsley Ryan. She is also survived by cousins and nieces.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home (3125 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78705). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Endowment Fund at Tarrytown United Methodist Church in her honor.
