With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane Leifeste of Austin, Texas, who passed away on June 15, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her sister Jean Marie. She is survived by: her pet Carlos; her sons, Josh and Charlie Betts; her siblings, Ann and Mark; and her pets, Aquarius, Yodi, Doc, Corky, Lulu, Freckles, Easy Breeze and Atlas.

The family request that memorials may be made to University United Methodist Church or to Micah 6 of Austin.

“I am so sorry to hear of this saint leaving the earth. When I asked how Street Youth Ministry could somehow access the clothing closet many years ago for our clients, Jane said "we can do that" and made it happen. She was always so gracious and understanding but practical. Street Youth and people in need in general certainly lost a great advocate! "Miss Jane" is remembered so fondly by so many homeless young adults who have now grown up and established themselves. Jane is certainly smiling!”
