He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Cox; and his parents, Nellie Bruce and Clyde Henry. He is survived by: his son James; and his grandchildren, Jamie Overcash of Austin and Shannon Eileen (Sheperd).

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at 9 Sara Elizabeth Field. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Cook Walden Capital Park Chapel (14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Austin, TX 78753). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery (14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Austin, TX 78753).
