He was predeceased by: his mother Laura New Lawler (Joliette); his wife Wynona Gault of Austin; his father Charles Allen Lawler; his siblings, Charles Alton Lawler and Merle Etheridge (Wynona); and his daughters, Nancy Lawler Minton and Patti June Lawler.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Lawler (Pat) and Marsha Goff (David) of Austin; and his grandchildren, Jace Lawler (Melissa) of Cypress, Alyssa Smith (Scott) of Dallas, Savannah Windham (Mims) of Houston, Kevin Goff of Lacey, Kristi Curlee (Dennis) of Austin, Jennifer Goff of Austin, Jared Minton (Meagan) of Leander, Vanessa Minton of Leander and Garrett Minton of Leander. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weed Corley Fish Parkcrest Funeral Home (5416 Parkcrest Dr, Austin, TX 78731). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Austin Baptist Church (7016 Ribelin Ranch Dr, Austin, TX 78750).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, monetary or in-kind donations be made to Hospice Austin.
