Gerda Galins McMurry Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerda Galins McMurry of Austin, Texas, who passed away on September 16, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Gerda Galins may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gerda Galins touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Galins and Alexandra Galins. She is survived by: her significant other Kathy Kuenzer; her sons, Richard Edward McMurry and Ronald Gregory McMurry (Kay); and her grandchildren, Krystle, Julie, Ryann and Ricky McMurry.

In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made in Gerda's memory to the BrightFocus Foundation for their macular degeneration research on their website, http://www.brightfocus.org.
