He was predeceased by: his parents, George William and Dorothy Cornell Averill. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his son George William, III (Billy); his sister Janice Kelly; and his nieces, Christine and Katherine.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Services - North (8507 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78753). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the Live Oak Cemetery (10738 Twin Creek Rd, Manchaca, TX 78652).
