He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rawlings Stine Poole and Frances Ann Poole (Childers); his wife Donna Poole (McDaniel) of Austin, TX; his aunts, Dorothy Cline (Childers) of Albuquerque, NM and Louise Rahll (Childers) of Dalhart, TX; his sister Penne Poole of Washington, DC; his son John Poole; his daughter-in-law Courtney Poole (Wallin); his grandchildren, David Poole II, Henry Poole and Tara Poole of Cedar Park, TX; his daughter Katherine Casey (Poole); his son-in-law Jason Casey; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Poole and Levi Casey of Pflugerville, TX.. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the SAFE Alliance Austin.
