He was predeceased by: his parents, Beno Hellinger and Bessie Hellinger; and his wife Jane Goertz Hellinger. He is survived by: his children, Diane Ashour (Titus), Catherine McCue (Kevin), Pamela Tabor (Keith), Paul Hellinger, Laura Duckworth (John), Charles Hellinger (Dolly), John Hellinger (Angie), Linda Moss (Hoyt), Mark Hellinger (Vaness) and Elaine McGuckin (Ryan); and his sisters, Helen Alloway and Henrietta Meuth. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cook Walden Funeral Home (6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752). A rosary will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Catholic Church (7601 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78757). A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Kovar Cemetery.
