She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank C. Garcia and Albina R. Garcia; and her brothers, Jaime and Raul. She is survived by: her children, April Marie Serrano (Pedro) and Raul Enrique Saldana (Maria); her grandchildren, Lorenzo, Sophia, Joaquin, Susannah and Royal; and her siblings, Frank Garcia, Jr. (Faye), Fred R. Garcia (Carmen), Linda G. Reyes (Benigno), Alice G. Walker (Christopher), Michael Arispe (Monica), Adam Rodriguez (Mary Helen), Jose Ruiz (Susan) and Edward Tovar. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that each shared a special bond with their Tia Mia, her loving aunt, uncles, a circle of cherished cousins, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home Heritage Chapel (1615 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702). A rosary will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cristo Rey Catholic Church (2208 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78702). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Santa Maria Cemetery (1300 Farm to Market Rd 1825, Pflugerville, TX 78660).
