He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Amanda Govea; his children, Albert Zapata, Jr., Ashley Zapata-Rodriguez, Krystal Zapata and Gabriela Zapata; his grandchildren, Kailiana, Valadez, Nevaya "Vaya" Espino, Emre "Grasshopper" Espino, Vida "Tiny" Rodriguez, Mark, Isaiah, Jaxon and Alaina Zapata; his sister Stella Zapata; his parents, Amadita "Mae" Rangel Zapata and Gilbert Zapata, Sr.; and also Luis.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home Heritage Chapel (1615 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Dolores Catholic Church (1111 Montopolis Dr, Austin, TX 78741). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Mission Funeral Home Heritage Chapel (1615 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702).
