She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Margaret, Robert Brashear, Sophia and Frank Heffern. She is survived by: her father Timothy Brashear; her husband Braulio Herrera (Junior); her mother Rosemary Benavides (Heffern); and her sister Angela (Thompson).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society, an organization Shelby felt strongly about.
