He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Wiley Griffin and Pauline Jones Griffin; and his sister Pamela Sue Griffin Fain. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; and his sister Polly Griffin Shaw. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT Foundation) and the American Heart Association. All donations made to the Charcot Marie Tooth Research Foundation, or the American Heart Association will be doubled until December 31, 2022.
