She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roger Edson and Violet Mast Edson; her husband Robert Doyle Cain; her grandchildren, Jett McElya, Bentley, Baker and Blakely Kizer; her stepgrandchildren, Braiden, Landry, Jackson Weed, Dakota and Jaeci Weimar; her children, Brandon McElya of The Colony, Texas, Kassi McElya of Denton, Texas, Kristian Kizer (Ashley) of Greeley, Colorado and Kade Kizer of Denton, Texas; her sisters, Carrie Knutsen (Todd) of Littleton and Mindi Ferguson (Joe) of Aubrey, Texas; and her stepdaughters, Michelle Weed (Bubba) and Martha Weimar (Danny). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to NAMI (National Association of Mental Illness) or a favorite charity.
