He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Strickland and Nellie Mae Strickland (Griffin); his wife Julia Ann Roberts; his daughter Christy Strickland; and his brothers, Glenn and Everett Strickland.
He is survived by: his children, David Strickland (Anita) of Denton, TX, Bobby Strickland (Melanie) of Beeville, TX, Melissa Clayton (Greg) of Pilot Point, TX and Donalee Gibson (Rick) of Amarillo, TX; and his close friend Betty McCoslin of Aubrey, TX.. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews.
