He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Gibson and Lois Gibson; and his siblings, Lindell Gibson, Neomia Willis, Francis Pavatt and Peggy Kososki.
He is survived by: his wife Lanita Gibson of Atlanta, Texas; his children, Scott Gibson (Deanna) of Atlanta, Texas and Rachel Overmyer (Gary) of Texarkana, Texas; his siblings-in-law, Joe Kososki of Texarkana, Texas, Linda Gibson of Maud and Marlene Walker of Texarkana, Texas; his grandchildren, Natalie Turner (Chris) and Lauren Crumpler (Blake); and his great grandchildren, Blake Turner, Remington Clayton, Wyatt Turner and Drake Crumpler. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
