He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvis Kirkland and Mildred Kirkland; and his son Larry Dean "Bubba" Kirkland. He is survived by: his wife Beth Kirkland of Atlanta, Texas; his children, Josh Kirkland (Marie) of Atlanta, Texas, Tammy Jones (Will Hazelwood) and Robbie Ehard of Texarkana, Texas; and his grandchildren, Whitney Francis, Jordan McCullough, Jade Pickering, Taylor Solomon, Sabrina Ehard, Brianna Kirkland, Jenna Kirkland and Scott Kirkland.
