He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Shirley and Virginia Minnick Shirley; and his sister Kay Miller. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Shirley of Atlanta, Texas; and his children, William Slack (Angie) of Richardson, Texas, Leslie Dotson (Jeff) of Atlanta and Carly Anderson (Turner) of Texarkana, Texas. He is also survived by three sisters; six grandchildren.
