He is survived by: his wife Laura Gearlds of Atlanta, Texas; his children, Bobby Gearlds of Atlanta, Roger Gearlds of Atlanta, Texas, Patricia Fahrney (Roy, Sr) of Maud and Kim Burden of Bivins, Texas; and his siblings, Joffree Gearlds of Glasgow, Kentucky and Necia Hammonds of North Vernon, Indiana. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
