He was predeceased by: his parents, Drew Kirkling and Susannah Rushing; and his wife Charlene of Summit. He is survived by: his sons, Steve (Cindy) of Atlanta, Andy (Amy) of Atlanta and Perry (Karen) of Atlanta; his nephew Gary Ansley (Eve) of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Julianna Bowen (Patrick), Cody (Emily) of Corpus Christi, Candace Gamez (Robert) of Atlanta, Timothy Douglas Rushing of Linden and Emerson Rushing of Atlanta; his great grandchildren, Parker, Olivia Bowen, Chloe, Mila Cloutier, Jameson, Michaela Gamez and Tucker Rushing; and also Arlen.
