He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Austin and Imogene Guffey; and his brother David Austin. He is survived by: his children, Derrick Austin of Atlanta, Texas, Courtney Stewart (Donald) of Ravanna, Arkansas and Brittney Kemp (Shaun) of Doddridge, Arkansas; his siblings, Paul Austin (Shirley) of Fouke, Arkansas, Martha "Gidget" McCormick (Rocky) and Lida Austin of Texarkana, Arkansas; the mother of his children Terri Austin of Rodessa, Louisiana; and his close friends, Billy Faye and Billy Carrol McCasland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
