She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Middleton and Mary Middleton; her husband William D. Hooten; and her siblings, James Henry Middleton, Ray Middleton, Ralph Middleton, Edna Middleton and Velma Middleton.

She is survived by: her children, David Hooten (Debbie) of Marshall, Kenneth Hooten (Patti) of Queen City, Ronnie Hooten (Lynette) of Waskom, Texas and Toran Mathews of Jefferson, Texas; her sisters, Zelma Turner (Jerry) of Longview and Belma Middleton of Dallas, Texas; and her grandchildren, Danelle Gross (Brad), David Hooten (Sunnie), Donnie Hooten (Angela), William "Bill" Hooten, Kenneth Hooten II (Jennifer), Kimberly Raines (Paul), Nathaniel Hooten (DJeniele), Jeremy Hooten (Sarah), Russell Hartsell (Emily), Jeffery, John and Destiny Hartsell. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Salem Cemetery Salem Church.
