He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Sprayberry and Lillian Sprayberry; and his siblings, Larry Sprayberry, Jerry Sprayberry, Doyle Sprayberry, Marie Elliott, Lorene Alexander and Melba Brown.

He is survived by: his sister Faye Alvarez of Atlanta, Texas. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, friends, and other relatives.
