He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine Keener; his parents, Shelby Keener and Cecil Keener; and his children, Glenn Keener and Kathleen Barnwell.

He is survived by: his son Keith Keener (Sherian) of La Marque. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
