He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Pierce Ellis and Willie Marie Hanner Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Rogers Ellis of Kilgore; his children, Amanda Ellis (Brian Cuban) of Dallas and Josh Ellis (Stephanie Ellis) of Tyler; his sister Marie Powell (James Powell) of Columbia; his mother-in-law Dixie Rogers of Kilgore; his grandchildren, Benjamin Hanner Ellis and Sloane Marie Ellis of Tyler, Texas.; and his friends, Dan Nichols, Tim O'Kelley, Golden Villa Nursing, Rehab, Margie Williams, Tracy Walker and Hands of Wisdom.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Atlanta or the Atlanta Education Foundation.
