He was predeceased by: his mother Annie Cook Johnson (Hunter); his stepfather Rubin Johnson; and his grandsons, Henry Loudermilk IV and Dey'vonne Cook. He is survived by: his children, Robbie Willis Cook (Vickie) of Mesquite, TX, Leevester Jay Cook (Latrisha) of Atlanta, TX, James Willis Cook Jr. (Deloris A.) of Longview, TX, Gerald Charles Cook (Zina), Rodney Earl Cook of Dallas, TX, Donna Annette Trussell (Trussell Fegans) of Atlanta, TX and Barbara Ann Cook of Atlanta, TX. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
