It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Leroy Knox Jr. of Atlanta, Texas, born in Idabel, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 9, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Olean Anderson Knox; his daughter Kristy Ann Jackson; his father Jim Knox; and his brother Michael Knox. He is survived by: his wife Molly Ann; his children, Lori Jill Williams and Robert Wayne Knox (Trang); his grandchildren, Bobby Hudson, Robert Taylor Knox, Dylan Williams, Jennifer Knox, Katherine Knox King, Emily Knox Brens and Emma Ann Jackson; his great grandchildren, Beatrix, Jaxon, Caroline Hudson and Magnolia King; his brother John Knox (Sue) of Jeffersonton, Virginia; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Knox of Beaumont, Texas, Suzy Gill of Oregon, Jim Taylor (Jan) of Bastrop, Texas and Nancy McDonald (Bill) of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by cousins and many friends.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff of the St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, ICU COVID Unit for the compassionate loving tender care shown Molly while James was sick.
