She is survived by: her sons, David Herring (Leslie Moses) of Bethesda Maryland and Rob Herring (Shannon Herring) of College Station; her brother Ron Dowd of Atlanta; her sister-in-law Nyla Dowd of Frisco; her grandchildren, Shay Herring, Thomas Herring of College Station, Dina Herring and Tedi Herring of Bethesda; her niece Jacy Dowd of Houston; and her nephew Jay Dowd (Stacey) of Burnet.

Donations in memory of Gloria Herring can be made to the hand bell choir fund at First United Methodist Church of Atlanta.
