It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Ray Rumsey of Atlanta, Texas, born in Texarkana, Arkansas, who passed away on August 22, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floy Rumsey and Maxine Rumsey; and his sister Eva Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Judy Hamilton; his children, David (Kelli) of Atlanta, Texas and Caren Rumsey of Atlanta, Texas; his grandchildren, Trent Waters (Amber) of Wake Village, Texas and Kenli Rumsey of Atlanta, Texas; his great grandchild Dean Waters; his brother Johnnie Rumsey (Julia) of Texarkana, Arkansas; and his siblings-in-law, Buck Morgan of Wake Village, Texas, Becky Womack of Queen City, Texas and Carolyn Kelly of Bullhead City. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church, Atlanta, Youth Program.
