He was predeceased by: his father Roy; his grandmother Smith Hartsell; and his sisters, Mozelle Hartsell Caver and Glenda Hartsell Barr. He is survived by: his wife Marie Taylor Hartsell; his children, Kenneth Gary Hartsell and Linda Marie Hartsell Dunbar; his sisters, Maurine Hartsell Small and Fran Hartsell Gamble; and his grandchildren, Gary Hartsell, Roy Hartsell, Melodie Dunbar Floro and James Patrick Dunbar. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hanner Funeral Service (103 W Main St, Atlanta, TX 75551). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smyrna Cemetery (4621 TX-77, Atlanta, TX 75551).
