He was predeceased by: his wife Eugenia Shelton; and his brother Jimmy Paul Shelton. He is survived by: his children, Chappy Shelton II (Melissa) of Atlanta and Kasi Shelton Fincher (Brian) of Atlanta, Texas; his siblings, Jacky Shelton (Sue Ann) of Hughes Springs, Timmy John Shelton (Debbie) of McLeod, Texas and Jane Dupree of Atlanta, Texas; his sister-in-law Bonnie Shelton of Atlanta, Texas; and his grandchildren, Kaden Fincher, Brent Walker, Brody Fincher, Ava Shelton, Stella Fincher and Alivia Shelton.
