He was predeceased by: his parents, Milam Draper and Elinor Draper; and his sister DeLorias Milam. He is survived by: his wife Jane Draper of Atlanta, Texas; his children, Ben Draper, Jr. (Robin) of Alba, Susan Draper of Alba and Cara Waters of Dallas, Texas; his stepsons, Chris Crooks (Stephanie) of Denton and Brian Crooks (Rebecca) of Atlanta, Texas; and his sister LaRue Lee of Atlanta, Texas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
