She was predeceased by: her grandmother Rachel Hodges Frazier; her parents, Carl Dickerson and Lillie Dickerson; her daughter Rachel McConnell; her grandson Justin Laster; her siblings, Betty Sue Cheek-Webb, Billy Carl Cooper, Billy Doyle "Pete" Dickerson and Barbara Ann Chamblee; and her friend Gay Ramsey-Durant.

She is survived by: her husband Eddie McConnell; her children, Bobby (Dolores Laster), Ryan Laster (Tammy Rutherford) of Bloomberg, Amanda (Carlton Stone), Rebecca (Joseph Ferguson) and Breana McConnell of Queen City, Texas.; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Stone, Lacey Laster, Candace Laster, Olivia Stone, Bobby Allen Laster, Ethan Ferguson, Linsey Laster and Noah Haynes; her siblings, Shorty, Linda Dickerson of Bivins and Juanita Moore of Atlanta, Texas; and her friends, Helen Ann Wilbanks and Cindy Applegate.
