He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd H. Myers and Ruth A. Myers; his sisters, Mary J. Smith and Shirley J. Dunahue of Kenton, Ohio; his daughter Terri Jo Stracener (Myers); his wife Vivian Myers (Hicks); and his stepson Gary D. Hicks of Tyler, Texas..
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Gail Carnes (Travis) of Athens, Texas.; his stepgrandsons, Brannon Carnes (Lauren) and Elliot Carnes (Sherry); and also, Layla, Remi, Cotton, Sid and Breanna of Athens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Fellowship Baptist Church of Athens, American Cancer Society or MADD.
