She was predeceased by: her parents, Pascal Eugene Tindel and Maggie Buie Tindel; her siblings, Mildred, Henry Milton and Hubert; and her son Dennis Winn Fisher.
She is survived by: her son Fred Allen Fisher; her grandson Clayton James Fisher (Wendi); her great grandchildren, Keely Roberts, Hunter-Nikol Aschmutat (James), Caeden of Corpus Christi, Texas. and Gavin of Corpus Christi, Texas.; her niece Martha Nichols (Eric) of Longview; and her nephew Paul String of Athens.
In lieu of flowers, it was Virginia's wish that contributions be made to the Virginia Nadine Fisher Memorial Music Fund at First Presbyterian Church, Athens.
