She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence "Smitty" Smith; her children, Barney, Jimmy Combs and Kathy Chvarak; her brothers, Jerry and Ronnie Creswell; her stepfather Jack Hollaway; and her stepbrother Joey Hollaway.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda McRae (Martin) of Athens and Mary Boyd of Athens; her stepchildren, Josh Smith of Jefferson, Julie Stroops of Longview, Dianne Akins of Longview and Etta Carter of Gilmer; her sister Carol Jean Phelps of Mesquite; and her stepbrother Jimmy Hollaway of Mesquite. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
