He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Shepherd and Tommy Shepherd; his brother Steve Shepherd; and his daughter Stori Shepherd Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Sandie; his children, April Shepherd Emrie (Ted), Stephanie Shepherd Schneider (Brad) and Steele Shepherd; his brother Charles Shepherd; and his grandchildren, Mason Emrie, Taylor Emrie, Avery Schneider, Michaela Schneider and Kendall Schneider. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the First Athens United Methodist Church Children's Ministry.
