With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steve Sutton (Athens, Texas), born in Longview, Texas, who passed away on August 1, 2019 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Miles Cone; his wife Lou Sutton of Athens; his daughter Page Motes (James) of Austin; his grandchildren, Sutton James Motes and Spencer Merrell Motes of Austin; his sisters, Sallie Lipsey (Don) of Carthage, Lecil Peery (Mike) of Palestine and Laura King (Bob) of Marshall; and his mother Francis Hospital. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
