It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley Weaver Burke (Athens, Texas), born in Wharton, Texas, who passed away on June 29, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Nannie Louise Hunter Burke; his children, Lori Leigh Meadows (Ron), Toby Wade Burke (Rebecca), Lester Hunter Burke and Stan Lee Burke (Diane); his grandchildren, Katie Elizabeth Meadows, Tyler Wendell Burke, Callie Meagan Burke, Randall Timothy Meadows, Josephine Nicole Burke and Colby Alexander Burke; and his siblings, Vernon Burke and Karen West. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other family, and a host of friends.
