Shelly Hutchinson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2024, at the age of 65, Shelly Hutchinson of Athens, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, T. C. Grubbs and Leota Arlene Grubbs (Templin); her husbands, C. D. Richardson and Jim Hutchinson; her siblings, Ernest Grubbs, Nelda Wheeler, Doris Melton, Tommy Grubbs and Patricia King; her niece Angel Knight; and her great-niece Tristin Knight.

She is survived by: her children, Katie West (Justin) and Trevor Mallinger of Athens; her siblings, Ann Graham (Randy) of Jackson, Walter Grubbs of Athens and Homer Grubbs (April) of Kansas City, Missouri; and her nieces, Tiffany Grubbs and Misti Ewald.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at the Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery (3100 FM317, Athens, TX 75752).
