Sarah Clanton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Clanton of Athens, Texas, born in Melissa, Texas, who passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William McKinley Whitfield and Ethel Julie Whitfield (Gober); her husband Morgan G. Clanton Sr.; her siblings, Melba Ruth McNeese and J. W. Whitfield; and her daughter-in-law Susan Farr Clanton.
She is survived by: her children, Morgan G. Clanton Jr. of Athens, Billy Lee Clanton of Palestine and Sherry Clanton Lewis (Charlie) of Ft. Worth. She is also survived by six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in her memory to the VFW Post 4133 in Trinidad, Texas.
