With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Gore of Athens, Texas, born in Oakwood, Texas, who passed away on November 18, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Wilburn Gore and Viola Mae Gore (Redding); and his siblings, Ida Dale Rabon, George Lloyd Gore, Howard Lee Gore and Jenora Sue Duck.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Gore of Athens; his children, Natalie Smith (Lee) of Birmingham, Philip Gore (Tyna) of Athens and Alice Fraley (Matt) of Midway; his brother Oren Mack Gore (Betty) of Athens; and his grandchildren, Wanda Claire Smith Hills (Chris), Anna Redding Smith, Hayden Reed Gore, Lauryn Mae Gore, Reagan Glen Gore, Clayton Matthew Fraley (Jordan), Carson Sheppard Fraley and McKenna Marie Fraley. He is also survived by grandbabies on the way and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Hills Community Care Food Pantry, where he spent many hours volunteering, at P.O. Box 1997, Athens, Texas 75751.
