He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Carnes and Eileene Carnes; his sister Bunny Sargent; and his daughter Deanna Carnes. He is survived by: his wife Karla Carnes of Athens; his children, Terri Hurst (Bob) of Malakoff, Jess Ome (Michael) and Steve Tahsler (Lori) of McKinney; his grandchildren, Emily Allen (William Pierce), Kamisha Caillier, Noah Caillier, Jadon Caillier, Lucas Tahsler and Ella Tahsler; his great grandchildren, Blake Allen and Hudson Allen; his niece Carrie Sargent; his aunt Patsy Palmer; and his pet Moses.
