He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Murray of Athens; his daughter Kim Shorb (Charles) of Cary; his sister Lucille Peters (Clyde) of Greenville, Tennessee; and his grandsons, Matthew Shorb and Michael Shorb. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
