He is survived by: his wife Janine Shelton of Athens; his parent-in-law Joe; his adoptive parents, Bill Pennington and Connie Pennington of Athens; his sons, Jerry Shelton (Rachael) of Athens and Mark Shelton (Tracey) of Athens; his adoptive daughter Shannon Wheeler (Robert) of Missouri; his siblings, Judy Flowers (Lee) of Zavala, Dean Loper, Debra Loper of Tyler, Glen Loper of Athens, Tracy Loper, Becky Loper of Tulsa and Charlotte Shelton of Fayetteville, GA; his grandchildren, Star, Dallas, Devin, Branson, Jayden and Kinsley Shelton; and his stepgrandchildren, Zachary, Hughes, Sarah and Tabitha Anderson.
