He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sholars and Letha Sholars. He is survived by: his daughter Celia Juanita Smith (Larry) of Houston; his grandchildren, Meredith Sholars Searcy (Josh) of Longview, Grant Douglas Smith (Monica) of Richmond and John Kent Sholars of Dallas; and his great grandchildren, Luke, Levi Searcy of Longview, Jakob and Jocelyn Smith of Richmond. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
