He was predeceased by: his parents, Olly G. Bass Sr. and Etta Hawkins Bass; his wife Elizabeth Virginia Hodge Bass; his siblings, Eula Jewel, Lorena Matranga, Bessie Crane, Richard Bass and Ralph Bass; and his great grandchild Noah Bass.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Pearson (Bruce Moore) of San Diego and Larry O. Bass (Wanda) of Athens; his grandchildren, Gary D. Bass, David L. Bass (Laural) and Joy Bass Rainwater (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Michaela Bass, Joshua Bass and Elizabeth Bass. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
