With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mike Collins of Athens, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on November 8, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Mike's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Mike's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Collins and Elizabeth Collins; and his former wife Sharron. He is survived by: his wife Lisa; his brother Bill Collins (Margaret); his children, Katie Donaldson (Steve) and Christopher Collins (Missy); and his stepchildren, Lani Caffey (Matt) and Tyler Lowe (Jackie). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (105 S Carroll St, Athens, TX 75751).
In lieu of flowers, Mike requested donations be made to the First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, of which Mike was a longtime committee member.
