We are sad to announce that on November 29, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Katie Smith (Athens, Texas), born in Norman, Oklahoma. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Floyd Homer and Jewel Blackburn of Tennessee. She is survived by: her significant other Tommy G. Smith; her children, Pamela Fling, Candace Hurt (Thomas), Eric Smith (Tracye) and Aaron "Buba" Smith (Renee); her grandchildren, Amanda Jones, Chase Hogan, Marshall Hogan, Catherine Braten, Samantha Smith, Kyle Smith, Kara Smith, Emily Ayub, Eric Hurt and Alison Jung; her sister Fay Homer Wark; and her close friend Carolyn Rowell. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Athens (105 S Carroll St, Athens, TX 75751). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
